Calling all runners and running fans:



Today I took the day off from running to go and sub for half a day. ( One day off up one more to go) I subbed for a very well behaved group of students at this school by right by my house. Its always pleasant to have such good experiences. It almost makes me want to teach more in these lower grades....NOT...Everyone has a preference and I tend to appreciate the older kids a little more. Its been a few days since my last post but that doesn't mean that I haven't put in my miles cause I have. On Saturday I did a very intense hill workout for about one hour in preparation for those hills on the LA Marathon. A marathon is longer distance and sure the hills are not as steep but when you are eighteen miles into the run, even the slightest incline can make you feel the pain. I did about 6 1/4 uphill repeats and relaxed on the way down. I could tell I was working hard for I was completely drenched in sweat as I jogged back to the samilermobile ( my car). On Sunday, on the other hand, I went out for a nice and relaxed run to ease the pain from the previous day's workout. Yesterday, Monday, I did a medium long run which felt great even though it was a very, very, VERY, WINDY!!! ( did you get the point? :)) It helped that it was very sunny and bright, which made it not as cold as other windy days. Okay well I guess that was a quick recap of the last few days. I will get going now, I work at the restaurant this afternoon and I have to start getting ready. The good thing is that its my Friday and I couldn't be more stoked... woot, WOOT!!!......living our lifestyle on the run, R U ?
